InsideOut Bowl

Description: In geometry, the sphere is the ultimate symbol for the shape that can contain all other forms. Daily, we encounter its practical derivative when we use bowls to hold everyday objects. Bowls are typically half spheres in which the concave surface maximizes its capacity, yet it renders the underside relatively useless. The InsideOut Bowl inverts this condition by bringing together two half spheres – one positive, the other negative. The resulting geometry dips in both directions, creating a concave side along the convex one. By activating top and bottom, the object can be used equally as bowl and plate. All objects are handcrafted individually to enhance their unique appearance.
